Arabic Language and Transliteration Standards

Because Arabic uses a non-Latin script, accurate transliteration is essential for names, places, and official terminology. Inconsistent spelling can lead to issues in administrative processes.

Our sworn translators apply recognized transliteration standards and country-specific requirements to ensure your certified Arabic translation is consistent, accurate, and ready for official submission.

Each translation is carefully reviewed to ensure both linguistic precision and compliance with formal requirements, reducing the risk of delays or rejections.

Your Reliable Arabic Translation Agency in Europe

Gateway to Middle East, North Africa, and Gulf markets

Arabic connects you with key markets across the Middle East and North Africa. For broader regional coverage, consider related languages such as Hebrew, Persian, and Turkish.

What Is Different About Arabic Documents

Arabic is written from right to left, and documents often combine Arabic with English, French or stamps in several scripts. Names have no single Latin spelling: Mohammed, Muhammad and Mohamed can all appear for the same person. We copy the spelling from your passport so that the translation matches your ID and visa.

Many certificates show both the Hijri and the Gregorian date. We give both where they appear and convert only when the authority asks for it.

Arabic Documents We Translate

  • Birth, marriage, divorce and death certificates, family books and personal status documents
  • School and university certificates, grade lists and diploma attestations
  • Police clearance certificates, residence permits and Emirates ID copies
  • Commercial licences, contracts, powers of attorney and court judgments

We work with Modern Standard Arabic and understand the regional formats used in Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon and the Gulf states. For documents used in the UAE, see our certified Arabic translation for the UAE.

Attestation and Legalisation

Documents from many Arabic-speaking countries need an attestation by the foreign ministry or a legalisation by the embassy before a translation is accepted. We translate the attestation stamps as part of the file. Prices start at €49 per document; the instant quote shows the exact price and date.
